Adventure Therapy

Adventure Therapy in Western, PA

Adventure therapy is a form of experiential psychotherapy where exciting outdoor challenges are used to help with personal transformation. The goal is to improve an individual’s overall physical, spiritual, social, and psychological well being. Through adventurous activities, individuals are encouraged to push their limits and work through any challenges and obstacles they face.

Activities are usually outdoors, however, occasionally they can still be done indoors. These experiences are conducted by trained professionals and are available to individuals, families, and groups. Often confused with wilderness therapy, which only uses the landscape and weather, adventure therapy incorporates man-made obstacles for both a physical and emotional challenge. Individual exercises allow patients to build confidence in themselves, while group activities can help form trust.

If you are interested in our Adventure Therapy, give us a call or fill out our form.
