At DreamLife Recovery, we understand that entering residential treatment can be both challenging and intimidating. To help you feel more prepared and informed, we’re sharing an overview of what a typical day looks like in our residential program. Our structured schedule is designed to support your recovery journey, providing a balance of therapy, relaxation, and personal growth.

Morning Routine (6:00 AM – 1:00 PM)

The day begins at 6:00 AM with a gentle wake-up call, followed by a nutritious breakfast to fuel your body and mind. Here’s a glimpse into our morning activities:

  • Yoga Sessions: On Mondays and Thursdays, we offer yoga classes, separated into men’s and women’s groups. This helps you connect with your body and find inner peace.
  • Daily Alignment: This session sets the tone for the day, focusing on mindfulness and goal-setting.
  • 12 Step Meeting: Participation in a 12-step program is a cornerstone of recovery, providing a supportive community and framework for personal growth.
  • Group Therapy Sessions: These sessions may include a variety of therapeutic approaches such as Drama Therapy, Drumming Therapy, Mediation and Grounding Therapy, Reiki Group, Expressive Therapy, Spirituality in Recovery, and DBT Therapy. These diverse therapies help you explore different aspects of your recovery and personal development.

Afternoon Activities (1:00 PM – 6:00 PM)

After lunch, the afternoon is filled with engaging activities designed to support your long-term recovery:

  • Lunch: A healthy meal shared with peers and staff, fostering a sense of community.
  • Group Therapy Sessions: Continuing from the morning, these sessions delve deeper into specific issues and coping strategies.
  • Long Term Recovery Planning Sessions: These sessions focus on building sustainable recovery skills through programs like Back 2 Basics Recovery, Creative Expression in Recovery, and Recovery Unclassified. They help you develop a personalized plan for maintaining sobriety beyond your stay with us.

Evening Routine (6:00 PM – 11:00 PM)

As the day winds down, we prioritize relaxation and reflection:

  • Dinner: A nutritious meal that brings everyone together.
  • Relapse Prevention: This session equips you with strategies to manage triggers and maintain sobriety.
  • Relaxation Hour/Amenities: Enjoy access to amenities such as Karaoke, HydroTherapy, Dream Spa, Gym, and phone calls to loved ones. This time allows you to unwind and recharge.
  • Free Time: Personal time to reflect, journal, or engage in quiet activities.
  • Lights Out at 11:00 PM: A peaceful end to the day, ensuring you get the rest needed for the next day’s journey.
